Dr. Asmat Jafry, MD
Dr. Jafry is a board-certified psychiatrist who treats patients of all ages with a keen interest in a broad range of psychiatric disorders including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychosis, eating disorders, and addiction disorders.
She completed her medical education from Karnatak University, India. With a keen interest in psychiatry, she completed her General Psychiatry residency from Austin, Texas and went on to pursue her fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry from McGaw Medical Center at Northwestern University, Chicago.
Dr. Jafry believes in providing quality care in a secure environment where a patient feels comfortable to express his/her concerns. With her caring and pleasant personality, she is highly approachable and connects well with kids and adolescents. Her ability to work well with families is particularly appreciated by her patients.

Katarzyna (Kasia) Slys, MS, PA-C
Katarzyna Skorka is a state-licensed and nationally board-certified physician assistant. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Loyola University Chicago and her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Southern Illinois University. During her training, she received academic and clinical training in multiple fields including psychiatry, family medicine, internal medicine, women’s health and more. She underwent her medical rotations through Carle Foundation Hospital which consisted of inpatient and outpatient psychiatry, treating a broad range of psychiatric disorders.
Katarzyna believes in the treatment of a person as a whole. She is passionate about eliminating the stigma surrounding psychological diagnoses. Following evidence-based medicine and using clinical judgment, she will provide an in-depth evaluation to develop an accurate diagnosis. She will work with you to develop an individualized treatment plan to assist you in reaching your goals. She wants to give her patients the opportunity to share their experiences in a judgement free atmosphere. Most importantly, she is eager to listen and involve the patient in the process in order to provide the best possible care to her patients.

Safaa Beg, MS, PA-C
Safaa Beg is a state-licensed and nationally board-certified physician assistant. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience at Michigan State University and her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Midwestern University. During her clinical rotations at Midwestern, she gained experience in a variety of different medical settings, including pediatrics and both inpatient and outpatient neurology.
Safaa grew up in Naperville and is familiar with the needs of community, specifically those struggling with psychiatric disorders in a post pandemic world. She performs in depth evaluations and works with patients to come up with the best treatment plan according to the patient’s needs and comfort level. She wants her patients to feel safe and aware that their needs are being met.
During her free time, Safaa loves to try making new recipes, take her toddler for a walk, or read!
Jeremiah Palacios, MS, PA-C
Jeremiah is a state-licensed and nationally board-certified physician assistant. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Aurora University and completed his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Dominican University. During his clinical rotations, psychiatry stood out as his area of greatest interest and fulfillment. He gained valuable experience across multiple settings, including inpatient, outpatient, telehealth, and nursing home psychiatry.
Jeremiah believes that psychiatric care is one important piece of the larger puzzle when it comes to improving mental health. He emphasizes the importance of understanding a patient’s interpersonal struggles and preferences to create an ideal treatment plan. He values proving proper patient education and discussing options before starting any treatment. He hopes his patients will feel comfortable opening up to and trusting him.

Alexis Strain, MA, NCC, LPC
Alexis is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bradley University and a B.A. in Psychology from Benedictine University. A former professional ballerina, she integrates discipline, creativity, and mind-body awareness into her therapeutic work.
Denise McNicholas, MS, CRC, LCPC
Licensed Therapist in Illinois with 19+ years of professional work experience in helping clients with
relationship issues, motivation, self-esteem/confidence, and career difficulties. Additional areas of focus includes: chronic pain, physical disabilities, Forgivemess therapy, Life pupose, Self-love, Traumatic brain injury, and Women’s issues.
Clinical approches: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy.

Nicholas Sumoski, MA
Nicholas (he/him) attended Governors State University where he obtained Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology. He also obtained a Bachelors in Sociology and a minor in Gender and Sexuality Studies. Nicholas’s priority is to foster a safe, comfortable, and nonjudgmental environment that promotes growth and healing. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community he is passionate about helping those who struggle with queer related stressors including questioning one’s sexual identity, gender dysphoria, intolerant environments, and lacking support systems.
He uses a client-centered approach that utilizes treatment techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment therapy based on the client’s personal needs. Together, Nicholas and his clients collaborate to create treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of everyone. He treats a variety of mental health conditions including but not limited to depression, anxiety/social anxiety, low self-esteem, bipolar disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Tyler Schmitt, MA
Tyler Schmitt is a recent graduate of Lewis University’s Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. With years of experience as an inpatient psychiatric counselor in the Advocate Hospital System, he has worked with a wide range of mental health conditions, working most commonly with anxiety and depressive disorders. Tyler is particularly interested in trauma-related disorders and plans to pursue advanced training in EMDR and Brainspotting. His therapeutic approach blends Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Person-Centered techniques, with an existential focus on empowerment and self-directed growth. He believes therapy should help clients take control of their mental well-being in a way that feels authentic and meaningful to them.
